Reminder of NWWCD’s next event - “The Deaf Club” Movie playing at Meridian High School Saturday June 6, 2015 7PM, doors open 6PM. Attached is the flyer and spread the news for NWWCD!
Hello everyone:
I am hosting a get together with Seattle City Council 3rd District candidate Rod Hearne on Wednesday, June 10 at 7 PM at my home, 1120 8th Avenue on First Hill (the Royal Manor on the SE corner of 8th and Seneca). Initially, I planned to have a “meet and greet” which is standard for candidates running for an office. However, Rod has asked that he meet with the Deaf community specifically as he wants to engage with us on a deeper level and talk about issues that directly affect the Deaf community. We’ll serve cookies and have wine, and bottled and sparkling water available. Be ready with your questions, and for a good dialogue about Deaf community concerns. Rod was very helpful to me and the the group that worked on the Seattle Men’s Chorus issue last year. While we were not successful in attaining all of our demands, Rod personally made phone calls to discuss this issue with board members he knew at the Chorus. He is truly a friend of our community. Please RSVP to me at robbo88@nullgmail.com by Sunday, June 7 so we have enough cookies and drinks for everyone. Thanks! Rob
