Bulletin

The Northwest ADA/IT Center is the federally designated Disability and
Business Technical Assistance Center (DBTAC) for Region X - serving Alaska,
Idaho, Oregon and Washington. Periodic Information Bulletins are provided to
keep you updated on current topics related to the Americans with
Disabilities Act and accessible information technology. Feel free to share
with others!
Gateway Olympic Sponsorship PC Donation Program
Following the completion of the 2002 Olympic Winter Games in Salt Lake City,
Gateway Computers will donate up to 4,500 computers to non-profit
organizations. Grant consideration is limited to eligible organizations
recognized by the IRS as a non-profit entity, with priority given to schools
and community centers whose programs help enhance access to technology for
traditionally under-served communities. Any organization interested in being
considered must complete an online application; faxed or written
applications will not be accepted. The application will be posted on the
Gateway website from April 8 - July 31, 2002.

At Your Service: Welcoming Customers with Disabilities at Your One-Stop
Center
This is a free on-line course designed to assist staff responsible for
initial customer contact at local One-Stop Centers to develop a better
understanding of accessibility and accommodation strategies for people with
disabilities. The course is available on the Southeast DBTAC website at:
www.sedbtac.org <http://www.sedbtac.org> (click on link in upper right hand
corner); registration is free. The course is fully accessible and meets
"Bobby approval" and W3C guidelines.

The Workforce Recruitment Program 2002 database is now available and
contains information on over 1800 qualified, motivated, job ready college
students and recent graduates with disabilities. To obtain a copy of the
